Aamir Khan Does His Bit, Donates Rs 25 Lakh To Help Those Affected By Maharashtra Floods
Quite a few Bollywood stars have come out and donated money to the CM Relief Fund for those affected by floods. The recent one is Aamir Khan.
Maharashtra is witnessing the worst ever floods affecting thousands of people in rural areas. Waterlogging and heavy rains have left many homeless. Celebrities from different walks of lives are coming forward to help those affected. Bollywood stars are also doing their bit. Recently, Aamir Khan donated Rs 25 lakhs to Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to help those affected.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis took to Twitter to thank Aamir for his generous contribution. He wrote, “Thank you @aamir_khan for your contribution of ₹25,00,000/- (₹25 lakh) towards #CMReliefFund #MaharashtraFloods !”.

While Aamir stood up to help those affected by floods in Maharashtra, stars like Akshay Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan donated humongous amounts to help those affected by floods in Assam. It was reported that Akshay donated Rs 2 crore while Big B donated Rs 51 lakhs. Assam CM Sarbananda Sonowal had then thanked Big B via a tweet saying, “We appreciate Shri Amitabh Bachchan ji for contributing Rs. 51 lakh to Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. This is a great gesture & show of care for the people. Thank you, on behalf of the people of Assam, for your support. @SrBachchan.”
Workwise, Aamir is currently busy prepping for his Lal Singh Chaddha. It is the Bollywood adaption of Hollywood movie Forrest Gump that starred Tom Hanks in the lead. Apart from that, he has not made an official announcement of any other film. However, reports state that he is interested in making the celluloid version of Mahabharat. It is said to be a trilogy made on a massive budget.
